Mobility of Steve Lyon to U. Cuenca and ESPOL, Ecuador
The first tangible deliverable was a presentation delivered by Prof Lyon on water resources management and capacity building techniques pursued by Stockholm University. The case study of the Kilombero Valley in Tanzania was used to demonstrate multidisciplinary of the approach and potential for impacts in a region like the Guayas watershed and in connection with ESPOL.
The second tangible deliverable was a fruitful series of meetings with both ESPOL and UC outing potential exchanges of students and collaborative research topics. These meetings, which occupied the bulk of the exchange, help provide a road map forward.
The third tangible deliverable was the creation of a draft blog post for the popular science Cool Green Science blog published by The Nature Conservancy. This blog post highlights the regional efforts for the UC partner and raises up awareness around education associate with the Watermas project.
