Mobility of R. Vazquez and H. Hampel to Ghent University
The UC team participated at several meetings where the administrative issues of the project execution were discussed. A Ph.D. student will start his thesis at the UG and as such, the project plan was discussed and elaborated with the UG colleagues. The UC and UG teams revised a manuscript elaborated together and agreed on the still necessary corrections and selected the journals where the manuscript will be sent. The UC and UG teams discussed the improvement of the syllabus content for the Ecological Engineering course, which is part of the interuniversity MSc. Program in Engineering for Water Resources Management, in the execution of which both research teams are involved. To achieve changes and improvement in the syllabus of the Ecological Engineering course a common teaching material was planned to develop. A seminar was given to the staff members of the UG to present the currently running research activities and find a common field of interest. The UC team participated at a Ph.D. thesis defense where the student carried out his Ph.D. research in a sandwich program between the University of Cuenca and UG.
